About

Rozemarijn is a visual artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She works primarily with natural materials such as charcoal in a distinctive style, blending elements of realism, symbolism and storytelling.  Her work explores human relationships with the planet we share and all those we share it with.

Rozemarijn combines her artistic practice with her work as an academic researcher and lecturer in international environmental law. By blurring disciplinary boundaries in her own work and through collaboration, she seeks to build bridges between practices and discourses that often remain siloed and exclusive.

Inspired by the productive intersections of creative practice and other knowledge and expert practices, Rozemarijn also works on the integration of creative methods in academic research and education. She curates events and learning environments to become spaces for sharing and co-creating understandings of, and approaches to, living with drastically changing local and global environments.
